Just harvested a bunch of my organic yellow crooked squash — only 12 pounds so far but the honeybees are out here putting in OVERTIME pollinating! Looks like canning season is calling my name 😅

Farmers Market question for y’all: Would you grab organic pickled squash or fresh organic crooked neck squash? Drop your vote below 👇

Funny squash fact: These bad boys are technically fruits (yeah, like tomatoes), but they’re so versatile they said ‘nah, I’m whatever you need me to be.’ Kinda like me on a Monday morning 😂

🎣🍞 BOYS, HOLD MY BEER – THAT’S A MONSTER DOUBLE LIMIT RIGHT HERE! 🍞🎣

Just came back from a brutal 48-hour ferment in the wilds of my kitchen counter, and I bagged me TWO absolute units with the legendary DoughBacca starter!

Look at these bad boys — each one tipping the scales at a solid 800 grams, stretching a full 10 inches of pure crusty glory. Firm, golden, with ears so sharp they could fillet a trout. I fought the hydration, I wrestled that autolyse, and I damn near lost a finger to the scoring lance… but it was worth every second.

My hands still smell like victory and sourdough. The husband thinks I’m crazy. The asses are calling me “Bread Mommy.” I’m just out here living the dream, boys.

Who else is bringing home the big ones this week? Drop your hauls below. And if you ain’t baking with DoughBacca yet… brother, you’re still fishing with worms.

Needless to say…

Leash only dog.

Any suggestions on a better brand?

From flower to this cute little baby pomegranate on the branch… it takes patience, y’all! Trees usually start giving decent fruit in 3-5 years after planting. Worth the wait! 🌳⏳

These ruby gems are antioxidant superstars — packed with vitamin C, fiber, and power that supports heart health, fights inflammation, and even boosts exercise endurance. Your body’s gonna thank you! ❤️

Flavor? Sweet-tart explosion — like juicy cherries met cranberries with a fancy wine twist. Crunchy seeds, juicy pop… addictive! 🍒

But real talk… deseeding one? It’s like the fruit is fighting back — juice stains everywhere! I look like I lost a crime scene battle every time 😂🩸 Who’s with me?

Pomegranate: Nature’s jewel. Grow one, eat one, love one!

After two epic hatching fails, I felt bad and slipped her 5 more eggs 20 days ago while she was already sitting on one.

Well… she’s now a proud mama to FOUR fluffy babies and counting (we might hit 5 or 6)! She has officially claimed the entire chicken coop as her personal nursery.

The roosters are NOT having it. They’re out here looking traumatized and unemployed 😂

So real talk… anyone need a rooster or two or three or four? Free to good homes!

New life on the farm, baby! Our little flock is growing and my heart can’t take it.

🐴❤️ Mini donkey update from one very proud grandma!

Our sweet little Rey Skywalker is almost 6 weeks old and doing amazing! This tiny girl has gotten so good at rolling around, she loves staring at the chickens, and she watches Bob and Yardie the cats like it’s her favorite show.

She has a great appetite and gets lots of exercise every day. Watching her grow up has been the highlight of my days!

This little ass is making this Ass Grandma so proud 😌💕

Who else has a baby donkey that owns their heart? Drop a ❤️ for Rey!

Two loaves, two methods, one honest loaf of bread 🍞

One was baked the old-fashioned way in a Dutch oven… golden, crusty, and proud.
The other met the pizza stone… a little darker, a little bolder, and full of character.

If only photographs could carry that warm, tangy sourdough aroma. It is the kind that fills a kitchen and makes patience feel worthwhile.

I will have a small batch of fresh organic sourdough loaves ready for Saturday at Market at the Rail for pickup. Quantities will be limited (good bread takes its sweet time), so if you would like one set aside, send me a message to place your order.

First come, first served… just like it ought to be.
