Yesterday we posted about how yellow jackets are wasps and NOT bees. Here is a handy guide to help you and your little entomologists distinguish yellow jackets from other “yellow stripey things.” While out on your nature study adventures in Be a Naturalist or A Year of Discovery, be sure to pause and observe the yellow stripey things you come across! Your children might even want to draw a few in their adventure journals.
