Our kidding season officially came to a close early this morning with a single doeling from our Rose.

Moms and kids got to all go out together today.
Here's some pictures of our Alpine girls who will be looking for new homes!

FDL Alpines Lotus - Cou Blanc doe in milk. Kidded on 3/20 with no assistance, will stand to be hand milked. Lily (cou Blanc) and Daisy (black with white) are currently on her. Each can go to separate homes after weaning, or all 3 together earlier. Lotus is UTD on CDT, kids will be disbudded tomorrow and UTD on CDT.

FDL Astrid - Cou Blanc doeling born one of triplets on 3/7. Full sister to Lotus. Super friendly and personal. Currently on mom and all 3 girls have been eating hay and taking bites of mom's feed. Astrid will be available after weaning. She has been disbudded and will be UTD on CDT.

The homestead page has been quiet...but we have lots of babies in the barn right now!

Now that Finn's got his dairy herd built up a little bit, it's time to start selling some kids! He's currently got a yearling doe in milk, and 3 doelings up for grabs!

FDL Alpines Lotus – Cou Blanc Doe (In Milk)
• Yearling first freshener
• Full Alpine but registered 50%
• Freshened 3/20 with twin doelings (unassisted)
• Hand-milked once to see how she would be and she was great
• Kids are currently dam-raised
• Both doelings (1 cou blanc + kid pictured) will be available...willing to sell individually after weaning or all 3 as a package deal any time
• Lotus UTD on CDT, kids getting disbudded tomorrow and will be UTD on CDT

FDL Alpines Astrid – Cou Blanc Doeling
• Born 3/7
• Full sister to Lotus
• Extremely friendly and “in your pocket” personality...any more in your pocket and you’d think she was bottle-raised
• Currently on mom, will be available after weaning
• Disbudded and will be UTD on CDT

I'm not totally convinced she is actually pregnant, but if she is...Rose is due within the week with kids from Sarge! These kids will be registered 100% Alpine and will also be available after weaning.

Hey, hey...it's sale day!

Only Kairi's goat will be going through the sale today. The kids' pigs, Kairi's rabbits, and Sophie's goat will hit the sale floor in a couple weeks at another fair.

FDL Alpines Cypress (buckling)
ADGA registered, dam-raised but super gentle and easy to handle. Cypress is a quiet-tempered guy who inherited his calm, friendly nature from his sire, Buddy.

FDL Alpines Zinna (doeling)
ADGA recorded (50%), but full Alpine. Zinna was dam raised, but she'll be on you like she was a bottle baby. Her dam Violet has been a standout first freshener with a beautifully attached, easy-to-milk udder. Zinna will be attending her first show in August, and will be available after August 9th!

Tried to get some nice picture of Cypress since he'll be 2 months old tomorrow, but between everyone carrying on and the dogs running around, he was less than thrilled with the idea and looks SO uncomfortable 🙃
Cy sure is a big handsome boy though!

Kairi's ladies have been keeping the egg stand stocked up!
Kai cleaned the coop and got them a fresh bag of treats and some new nest box pads to try out today.

Kairi's egg stand will be opening up soon 🥚
Just need to get her some new signs and do some freshening up on the stand. She'll also be adding duck eggs from Sophie's flock!
