During winter, our horses get extra hay because they turn into hungry, fuzzy furnaces the moment it gets cold. With the grass on vacation and the temperatures dropping, hay keeps their bellies full, their toes warm, and their dramatic “we’re starving” looks to a minimum. It keeps them busy, cozy, and convinced that I am, in fact, the best human ever—at least until the next feeding.

With it being snowy and cold, we’ve been keeping the big doors down to trap whatever “warm-ish” air we can in the barn. ❄️😂

Bo has officially decided he’s a barn cat, not a tack-room cat… which is fine, except the tack room has to stay shut or Eli the goat starts redecorating. 😂
So, naturally, I put Bo’s warm, cozy bed in the wheelbarrow—because who doesn’t want a luxury mobile suite for winter? And guess what? He actually used it.
Honestly, this cat is smarter than all of us. We’re just lucky he loves us as much as we love him. ❤️🐾
