Paisley got me this bc she said it reminds her of me! And coming from my teenager…I feel like I won the lottery!! So no matter what the world thinks of me, the girl who has seen every single version of me behind closed doors thinks I’m Dug from Up. 😭😭

I’ve seen the movie but I looked him up and now I’m crying. He’s ridiculously loving, excited about everything, wants to be everybody’s friend, talks a lot, has a huge heart… but can get completely distracted mid-thought because SQUIRREL. Apparently, Paisley thinks that’s me. And I’m honored, I think haha 😂

The comparison being sweet, loyal, enthusiastic, easily excited, a little scattered, and very much ‘I LOVE YOU AND I HAVE 14 THINGS TO TELL YOU’ at once type energy is such a vibe and spot on.

I love her and I love that this is who she seems me showing up as in the world.

I share this to encourage others! Do not give up!!!! You can and will do this! But you gotta WORK! Figure it out, make it happen!

Extremely raw side of what it looks like to own a business when life hits you. Thank you for continuing to show up for me. For the last 1.5 years yall have carried me in more ways than you know. When you support a small business, you support a human being just doing her best. And the days they don’t knock it out of the park, thank you for reaching out about a less than great experience and understanding while allowing me to fix it.

I wish I could include every single person in this video that has shown up for us but it would be hours long. Like my landlords, showing me grace and kindness so that I could keep lulus open. Or my brother and friends loaning me their vehicles. My parents and sistet dropping dinners off to us or friends buying Paisley Christmas gifts. Mosquito Elite continued my service at no cost when I reached out to cancel it bc I was trying to cut costs anyway I could. (Please remember businesses like them when you’re choosing where to spend your money)

Just so many people showing up to love us. And I’m forever grateful. There’s still a long road but I’m seeing the light. Finally. And I am so glad to still be here serving you through it all.

Thank yall for the suggestions! We visited Album Addict (inside Recent Relics) where they were have a 20% off Sale! And we got a stack of cds but then the nice guy working came and found us while still shopping and told us we could get 2 more free! He totally could have just let us leave but he didn’t, he wanted us to get the deal we didn’t even know we missed!!

and The Emporium (we went to the one downtown)! So many great finds where too! And Bam took time to talk to Pai about one of the vinyls she chose and shared some cool history with us all. He even gave her one vinyl free bc it wasn’t in the best shape so he told us it wouldn’t play all the songs, but she still wanted it for her collection. So kind!

Both places were full of great finds but the service was the best part! 2 really great local places right under our noses!

Pai ended up with 15 CDs and 4 vinyls! And Julia got some cute vintage jewelry!
