🌸 Baker's Tip Tuesday! 🌸

Ever wonder how bakers get those beautiful multi-colored flowers, ruffles, and borders on cakes and cupcakes? It's easier than you might think!

✨ Step 1: Lay out strips of frosting in your chosen colors on a sheet of plastic wrap (like the photos show).
✨ Step 2: Roll the plastic wrap into a log, keeping the colors side by side.
✨ Step 3: Twist the ends closed and snip one end.
✨ Step 4: Place the frosting log inside a piping bag fitted with your desired tip.
✨ Step 5: Pipe flowers, rosettes, borders, or swirls and watch the colors blend beautifully with every squeeze!

The best part? You can create endless color combinations without dirtying multiple piping bags. 💕

Quiet rainy mornings like this just hit different—perfect kind of calm for working on fondant tools for our Father’s Day tackled oxygen cake giveaway pieces.
Little by little getting everything ready at Donna’s Cake Cottage, shaping each detail with a lot of love for the dads who’ll be receiving them soon. These are the moments where it all comes together quietly before the busy baking days hit again.

Father’s Day is coming in strong—stay tuned for the final reveal.

On a personal note, my stool this morning is my favorite baking tool! I have a titanium plate and four screws in my lower back so it's definitely my hero 😆
