Due to different things developing in the past few months we have decided to put the farm on hold for the time being until we figure out where we are going to go from here. Poor weather and bad timing have kept us from planting anything this season but a few peppers. We are still planning on planting turnips and mustard this winter for sure, but until then we are going to be forced to stick with what we have. Hopefully next year will bring better luck. We aren't going anywhere, we are just having to take a break for the time being. Thank you to everyone that has helped us along to get to this point.

Got all of our fruit trees, pepper plants, and other plants in the greenhouse ready for the cold weather. Praying for everyone's safety during these next few days.

Our newest BDE employee, Kayla, makes sure the humidity dome over the pepper seedlings is holding in the warmth, while Snowball, our pest control supervisor, checks to see if the heat mat is working. They both seem to be working really hard.

We will be at the farmers market in Iowa tomorrow from 8am til Noon. Come see us to get your pickled turnips and frozen turnips. We also have pickled turnips for sale at Iowa Farm and Auto (Bumper to Bumper, next door to Stines).
