The morning came with a promise of sunshine. With only 5-7% rain I was looking forward to introducing the 2nd Graders from Woodsboro Elementary to the alpacas! I had Johnny haltered and ready for his meet & greet when the first sprinkles landed. Within a few short minutes it was like the bottom fell out of the sky! We took refuge under the patio then went inside my shop to watch shearing videos! The rain slacked off and we toured the shearing room, made ourselves comfortable on the gazebo where we made felted spa soaps and had lunch. It was a fun and exciting, albeit wet, day at the farm for these kiddos! We’re so glad they came! Thanks for visiting us today!

I didn’t get very many pics this year. Sheep shearing zoomed by this morning. My small flock of 8 plus 3 from a neighboring farm. We held back their Gulf Coast Ram to breed our ewes. Gotta love the Gulf Coast Sheep❣️ Thanks Erica and Joseph for bringing your Ram over. And thanks also to Kate and Darian McRose of Right Choice Shearing for another great shearing day!
