Here’s a picture I found online of a stove just like the one I had to leave behind when we moved. It was a 1952 Gibson, and I absolutely loved it. The little oven was perfect for baking, and the large burner in the back was called an “Ups-A-Daisy.”

Boy, do I miss that stove!!

My grandma turns 100 years old this month! 🥹 She told me this was a wedding gift, so I’m guessing it’s probably around 80 years old. It detaches from the base, which I think is so cool!

I’d love to learn more about it—its history, age, or any interesting facts. Unfortunately, Grandma doesn’t remember much about it anymore, and my grandpa passed away in 2012.

I told her that even if it stops working one day, I’d still love to keep it, take care of it, and treasure it. 🥹❤️ The amazing thing is, she still uses it to this day!

Hi, Michele here! I’m a huge fan of vintage kitchens, especially those dating from the 1930s through the early 1960s. Our Richmond, Virginia, home was built in 1938, and as only the third owners, we’ve truly enjoyed preserving its character and keeping the décor as original and true to the period as possible.

I still have several of the decor pieces from those days, and now my daughter lives in the very same house. She’s even kept the original kitchen cabinets and light fixtures just as they were. So many wonderful memories in one little photo!

This is the other half of my mom’s kitchen. Sadly, my mom has passed away, and the house will be sold soon. ❤️

The stove and oven are still in good working condition, and the cabinets are in pretty good shape as well. I would love to see these pieces go to someone who appreciates their vintage charm rather than see them go to waste.

This porcelain-top table and its matching Hoosier-style cabinet were originally part of the vintage kitchen here at the farm. ❤️ When we decided to add an island, we had to find them a new home—but we certainly weren't ready to part with them!

The cabinet turned out to be the perfect spot for our flat-screen TV, and although the table doesn't see many meals these days, it makes a wonderful workspace for my wife's puzzles. 🧩

I guess you could call it repurposing with a little history attached. Instead of putting these old pieces away, we're still enjoying and using them—just in a different way! 😊
