Been a minute since I had to do any milking, especially since busting up my elbow a month ago. But due to a fried motor on the vacuum pump this afternoon Sonia got to go home and we got to finally get started 4 hours late. Thanks to the The Scharine Group - Dairy & Livestock Division for always getting us fixed up and going!

This is the only clip of today that I managed to take. I want to thank everyone who came out today and supported the 49th Annual Walworth County Farm Bureau Dairy Breakfast. It was great weather and the morning seemed to fly by. An even bigger thank you to my family (this is the biggest one because I know I had a long list of things and projects to do and it wouldn’t have possibly all gotten done without them), friends, employees and all the volunteers that put in the work to put the breakfast on. I think it was a great success and I hope all enjoyed visiting the farm and eating a delicious breakfast.

It took a little longer than we were thinking but today was the first day we shipped milk out of both tanks!

This winter/spring we finished up the cold side addition to the nursery. Is it big enough? No 🤣 but it is giving us some nice extra space to wean some kids and some baby overflow now that the weather is nice enough. Shoutout to JJO Buildings LLC for the excellent work! 10/10 Recommend Joe for your post frame needs.
