Meet Kassandra, the leader of the farm. She’s a preschool owning, book reading, anti-television watching, type A personality, single mom who happily runs the logistics of the farm, but sometimes sneaks off to take a much-needed nap. She can’t say no to bringing home a new animal, big or small, and she always has some little critter staying in her bathroom. She stays busy keeping up with 3 preschools, 2 teenagers, 2 parents, a mobile petting farm, and the farm full of animals. She happily always has a house full of teenagers and/or animals and/or nieces and nephews and is pretty sure she’ll never be an empty nester. She doesn’t go out much but loves when people come over and she isn’t afraid to tell farm visitors how they help around here. Here’s our lady, Kassandra.

Meet Kandis, the comic of the farm. She’s a music loving, dinner cooking, storytelling, hyperbole, who bust her butt to keep the always dirty floors clean, and tends to the dogs daily while we are all out. She complains about every animal, but loves to tell everyone about everything at the farm. She may be allergic to most of the animals around here, but she secretly snuggles up to some of them. She swears she’s not a farmer, but check out her outfit in the photo. Her hours are usually complete opposite of ours, but she always finds time to hang out (just as long as it’s not in the barn). Here’s our fam, Auntie Kandis.

Meet Melanie the artist of the farm. She’s a craft making, grandkid babysitting, teen transporting, chicken coop opener, who loves to watch, but not tend to the animals. She may be retired, but we keep her busy with one thing or another. She’s pretty handy and great at knocking things off our to-do list! She always fusses about the amount of animals we have, but makes us their enclosure name signs, and secretly visits them and gives snacks when no one is looking. If you can’t find her cooped up with a grandkid or two, she’ll be down at her shop creating some thing artistic. This is our gal, grandma Melanie.

Meet Grizz, the handyman of the farm. He’s a beer drinking, tractor driving, fence fixing, leftover finisher, welder who always has a farm to-do list a mile long. He works full time at a welding shop in Holly Hill, but we all know he’s counting down the days until retirement. He always says no to getting more animals, but then builds their pens once we bring them home anyway. Even if he says he doesn’t like the animals he’s giving pigs belly rubs, finding treats for the chickens, scratching kitty backs, or calling the ducks up for dinner. You’ll often find him checking the mail on the tractor or giving the grandkids rides on the UTV. Here’s our guy, Grandpa Grizz.

Meet Haden, the muscles of the farm. He’s a dirtbike riding, lifted truck driving, can’t have enough speakers, dog loving, future engineer who helps with everything we can’t reach or lift. He is 17 and 6’3” and adulthood is just around the corner. He goes to the gym before school and works painting or making pizzas at night, and loves paydays the most. He may be not a fan of all the animals, but he loves living in the country. He wants to work with his hands and in the dirt, so civil engineering is his goal. Here’s our boy, Haden 💪

Meet Haley, the heart of the farm. She’s a barrel racing, bull riding, FFA president, honor roll student, animal loving girl who busts her behind to take care of all the animals every day. She may only be 13, but she works harder then a lot of adults. She knows the animal care comes first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and you won’t hear her complain about it. She’d live in the barn if she could. She obviously wants to work with animals as a career, just hasn’t narrowed down exactly what yet. Here’s our girl, Haley 💕
