Look at these beauties. The August sun has been kind and veraison has been bring out deep, rich colors in our reds.

The more sunshine and warm, dry conditions we get this time of year will grow the sugar content in the grapes as the vines shift their energy into the fruit. Our vineyard team is busy ensuring this balances with the acidity built earlier in the summer for perfectly balanced w**es.

Peak patio season is here and we’ve got a big weekend planned for you all!

Tonight for Foodie Friday, join us for dinner at the vineyard from 4-8pm featuring a menu prepared by Lake Leelanau’s finest: Locals Lake Leelanau paired with Blustone w**es.

Then tomorrow night, we’re open late until 7pm with live music on the patio from Drew Alkema. We’ll have the w**e chilled and the vibes ready.

A big thanks to all those who visited us at the Traverse City W**e & Food Festival over the weekend! And an especially big shoutout to our amazing volunteers who kept the w**e flowing every day. 🍷

Cheers to great friends, good w**e, and Michigan summer!

🍷 Our flagship red W**emaker’s Red is always aged for at least 2 years in French oak and each year, our w**emaker Charlie selects how much sits in new vs. old oak.

Our 2025 vintage is no different with a portion of the w**e selected to spend time in past-vintage Merlot barrels handpicked to accentuate its robust and balanced profile.

Get ready…it’s almost time to release our 2023 W**emaker’s Red!

Last week, we gathered with our BlustoneClub members for one of our favorite nights of the summer. 🍷

A multi-course dinner in the vineyard, a behind-the-scenes look at production, and a few special vintages pulled from the cellar.

More than anything, it was a chance to say thank you. We’re so grateful to have such a wonderful group of people as part of the Blustone family.

A little scheduling note from the vineyard 🍷

We’ll be closing the Blustone tasting room at 4pm today, Wednesday and Thursday as we celebrate one of our favorite traditions of the summer—our annual BlustoneClub Summer Gala.

Thanks for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you soon!

A little color change in the vineyard. A big sign of what’s ahead. 🍇

Veraison has begun at Blustone — and the 2026 vintage is starting to show its colors. Vineyard Manager John Molenhouse is keeping a close eye on what weather August and September bring us. At this time of the growing season, temps, rainfall, and sun exposure will all have a dramatic impact on our 2026 vintage. More to come!
