We were busy yesterday afternoon. Our last big push for dry hay of 2026. This year was a very poor year for hay volume and quality. But we're thankful for what we did get. We still have a couple of small areas to wet bale.

Was a productive weekend. We didn't let the Canadian wildfire smoke stop us. Since we couldn't dry any hay due to the lack of sunshine from the Canadian wildfire smoke. We figured let's get some wet hay baled and wrapped.

200 on the ground, 400 more to go. Hoping for another 300 by the end of next weekend.

It's a wonderful time of year on the farm. All our girls are very happy to be out mowing grass, and we're still trying to get things cleaned up from our extremely harsh winter. The clean up from winter is a multi step project that takes time, but we'll get it done. Hoping to start bailing hay in about three weeks.

This ole girl is 50 years old. Tomorrow morning it's going for a ride to go get some love. We're afraid to see the bill once it's done, but it's grandpa's tractor and it's time to fix er. We'll see ya in 3-4 weeks ole girl.

We know it's been a while since we last posted. Things have been busy. Between upgrades on equipment, and a little cow shopping. But the snow is almost all gone, the calves are running around and playing. We hope to be back in the fields in a couple of weeks.
