With this upcoming winter storm, consider offering more suet to your backyard birds! 🪶

Suet is an excellent source of fat and calories for our backyard friends, helping them stay warm in this crazy cold weather 🥶

Our 4-lb jars of suet seem MASSIVE, but the birds go through it so fast, especially in this weather! This spreadable suet is my favorite food to put out for the birds (although my frozen fingers might disagree!)

We love feeding and watching our squirrels just as much as the birds!! 🐿️🥜

🐿️ We're NUTS about SQUIRRELS 🌰
⏬ Read on for FIVE FUN FACTS in celebration of Squirrel Appreciation Day 🤯
1️⃣ Burrowing mammals like the thirteen-lined ground squirrels create warrens of tunnels that may be used by other animal species, including foxes, small rodents, snakes, crayfish, and various insects.
2️⃣ Squirrels are hoarders of acorns, hickory nuts, beechnuts and many other species of plant fruit. They lose plenty of seeds in the process, and thus are important in spreading plant populations.
3️⃣ Young squirrels are reared in leaf nests, dens, and occasionally bird houses.
4️⃣ Squirrels usually breed twice a year; in winter and in summer.
5️⃣ Squirrels use two types of nests: leaf and den. Leaf nests are located in the crotches of tree branches and dens are formed in hollow tree trunks or branches. A leaf nest is known as a dray.

Each and every single one of the reviews left for our shop mean the WORLD to us ❤️

We might be biased, but we think our homemade suet is pretty great! It's awesome to hear that others think so as well!

🔴❄️ Steal the Look: Northern Female Cardinal

It’s that time of year! The LL Beak catalogue has arrived in the mail and we are feeling warm and toasty.
🔥 Speaking of warm and toasty… wait a minute… are those S'mores ingredients!? Is that a rocking chair on a wraparound porch?! A game of co****le to occupy the others while I sit by the fire?
☕ Don’t mind if I do.
My colors might be more subtle than my flashier counterpart — but what I lack in intensity, you can bet I make up for in depth.
