Built in the late 1920’s to provide power to the growing City of Columbia, it is pretty safe to say that William Murray, the engineer and designer behind the dam that transformed a portion of the Saluda River into Lake Murray, had no idea the impact this body of water would have on the Community.

From beautiful homes, breath taking sunsets, and amazing bird displays, to restaurants, events, boating, paddle sports, and plain old swimming, Lake Murray truly is a jewel!
