Namken Red Angus Namken Red Angus consists of Registered and Commercial Red Angus cattle. We sell registered bulls, females, feeder calves and replacement females.

Welcome to Namken Red Angus! We strive to continually produce high quality, structurally sound, and functional bulls and females that are bred to be versatile and compliment any operation. In addition to our registered Red Angus herd, we also run a sizable Red Angus-based commercial cow herd on our ranch in northeastern South Dakota, the progeny of which are marketed as feeder calves. Red Angus we

re chosen for their strong maternal traits, docility, and for the functionality and durability of the breed. At Namken Red Angus, quality is a must and it is important to note that the registered herd is managed right alongside the commercial cow herd and they are given no special treatment. We expect our cattle to perform in their natural environment and our breeding program and emphasis on overall quality reflects that. Functionality is the cornerstone of our breeding philosophy. We place a great deal of importance on sound feet, legs, and udders. Although we do not breed our cattle specifically for the show industry, our cattle do perform well in the ring and we market a portion of our registered bulls and females at a handful of livestock shows. However, the majority of our bulls are sold off the ranch by private treaty. We welcome visitors and encourage those interested in learning more about our program to give us a call. If you happen to see us at one of the cattle shows, please stop in and say hello. Better yet, stop on by the ranch anytime for a tour. We'd be glad to show you around!

This past Saturday we vaccinated, pulled a DNA sample and branded all the purebred calves and vaccinated the cows. We are thankful for all the help that shows up to make these events function efficiently.

The Namken CEO 40M progeny are looking great.

This red Executive x Resource 33D son brings exciting maternal outcross genetics to the Red Angus breed.
CEO is a bull with true breed character. From his Angus skull shape to his big top and expansive rib shape with a leg set true to the ground. Don’t forget at about his performance. Ratioing 115 at weaning and 117 at yearling. A bull that will pack a punch and also make replacement females.
CEO is sired by the outcross maternal black red carrier W Sunrise Executive 42J known for making feminine daughters with great udders and producing sons with high libido.
CEO’s dam is the great Namken Sierra 10426 227F. This donor dam has a 107 MPPA and one of our most productive cow families. 227F is sired by the maternal black red carrier Namken Resource 33D (SAV Resource 1441 son) who left highly productive females. 227F is also the granddam to the 2026 $41,000 high seller in the Namken Red Angus Production Sale, Namken Bold Ruler 37N.

A producer and friend in the northwest corner of NE is looking to sell 1-2 loads of young pairs, primarily first calf heifers, about 25% being 3 and 4’s. Pairs are 80% Red hided with the balance being black. The cows are either home raised or were purchased as one set from Kaup Red Angus in SD, all primarily Lazy J Bar Ranch sired. Calves are sired by A&R Red Angus, Namken Red Angus, or Lazy J Bar Ranch Red Angus bulls and were born between Feb. 15th and April 1st. Calves have been branded, castrated, and given spring shots. All are eligible to be enrolled in RAAA’s Angus Access program. Reputable operation with dialed in nutrition and health. The top load of steers are sold the first week October and consistently weigh over 700lbs. Happy to get anyone in contact with the seller, just shoot me a message.
