Yesterday I did a thing. Something very new but super exciting for me and my flower adventure. I was asked to host a flower arranging event for a friend and some of her coworkers for Earth Day…and it was a blast! God knew just how many people needed to be there and exactly who those people were and I genuinely enjoyed every second! From ordering the arrangement vessels to picking out flowers to explaining how it all goes together…it was such a joy💛
So here’s my shameless plug: if you need someone to encourage and guide a group of people through creating a beautiful, unique floral arrangement (or if you have any other flower needs) let me know 🙋🏼♀️ but there’s a little bit more to the story. In the excitement of this, God is reminding me that my family comes first, now and always. It doesn’t matter how great I get with my flowers, how many events I host or how many bouquets I sell if my family feels a void from it. If they feel like my flowers are taking up time that they need, then to me, it’s not worth it. So here’s what I’m going to do: I will say YES to as many things as I can, so always feel free to ask! But I will say NO to promoting myself or marketing myself on social media. So if you wonder why posts comes sporadically or why I’m not spending more time getting my name out there, it’s because I believe that word will travel and that my time is better spent saying yes to other things 💛
So it might be radio silence until then, but stay tuned for a post about peonies and a Mother’s Day arranging class…because that just feels like the best combination! 🩷
