So Summer went into labor yesterday around 630pm.
I noticed pretty quickly something was wrong when I saw the size of 1 hoof sticking out.
I gloved up and went in as best as I could. That kid was so large- I had no room to feel around to try and find the other leg.

I took her to our farm vet who gave her an epidural and was able to get the kid out. It was a single boy that had to be 6-7lbs- his head was so big it would not fit through the canal until she had the epidural.
His other front leg was completely flipped back by his back legs. His shoulder was stuck on her pelvic bone.
His head was upside down as well. Baby did not make it. 😔

So yes as BIG as she was, it was just 1 large one.
We are so glad summer is ok & recovering! ❤️‍🩹

She will come in to barn to eat & you can grab her but other wise she does her own thing. I just don’t have the time for it.

And just like that, this handsome little guy is finally here! 😍🐐

Not even 5 months old yet and already turning heads! We are beyond excited to watch him grow and see what he brings to our breeding program. The future is looking bright! ✨

Now comes the hard part… who to breed him to for fall babies….. 🤣💙

We have BIG hopes for this boy and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes here! 🔥
