The View is accepting applications for a full-time Restaurant Supervisor position. The pay rate is $20-$25, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will be a career-focused individual with a positive outlook and an upbeat management style that fosters a positive work environment.
This person needs to be an effective communicator who is self-motivated and can manage a high-stress environment while maintaining complete control and leading others. In addition, we are looking for someone who provides exceptional customer service with a constant focus on maintaining and exceeding AAA’s Four-Diamond “Exceptional” requirements.
This position will require working various hours/shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business. Applicants can expect to work more than 40 hours per week. In addition, assisting in payroll, scheduling, inventory, and ordering for the dining room will be required.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Constant and ongoing training with staff to constantly increase the level of service and wine/menu knowledge.
Provide direct assistance to guests as needed, including but not limited to seating guests, serving tables, bussing tables, bartending (i.e., wine/spirit knowledge), and taking/canceling reservations.
Circulate the restaurant floor, continually checking with both the guests and the service staff to ensure that everything is to the View’s standard and to the guest’s satisfaction.
Handle guest comments and complaints promptly and professionally.
Monitor and supervise setup/breakdown and maintenance of the dining room area to ensure that it is up to standard. Responsible for assigning and directing the opening and closing side work
Conducting overall operations in the absence of other dining room supervisors.
This applicant must have quick problem-solving skills, the ability to manage server & guest needs and lift and move items of 30lbs or more.
Assist with scheduling and filling in where needed (i.e., if somebody calls out.)
Conducting pre-meal/post-service meetings daily with both the serving staff and the chefs.
Holding staff accountable to our standards, recognizing exceptional employee performance, and disciplining staff following operating procedures.
This person needs to be committed to growing and improving the business by creating new marketing ideas, increasing sales & reducing costs resulting in an increase in our overall profitability.
