Today I had the opportunity to tour my friend Charlie’s ranching operation in Patton, Missouri. All I can say is, God bless the American rancher and farmer.Charlie opened his gates to our USRSB group and shared the story of his operation, along with the many challenges that come with it. His country looks beautiful, but as he explained, like everyone involved in agricultural production, you never know what Mother Nature may bring. Drought, too much rain, extreme heat, or heavy snow can all impact an operation, depending on where you are.Yet through faith in God, careful planning, optimism, and determination, we endure and move forward. It was a humbling reminder of the resilience, hard work, and commitment of the men and women who provide food and sustenance for our nation.
