We love our farm community and more and more of you are looking for fresh local produce and meat. This amazing app (created by Hop & Hen Farm) is a wonderful way to find local producers. Know where your food is coming from, grow more of your own and learn about what's happening in our food system!

Just a reminder (and a little proud flex for this techy farm girl!) that this little app I built has been used to search for farms throughout our area more than 2000 times since I released it a few months ago. 🥰🌻🥰

That may not seem like a lot, but for as little as I've been able to work on it and promote it, I'm pretty stoked. It means people are finding their way to small farmsteads, community gardens, and fresh food throughout our area!

A great deal of places haven't yet claimed their profiles, but the majority don't even know I built this and included them! 😬

Maybe in the winter I can devote more time, but between now and then, please be my community army and let any place you find on this app know their profile is waiting for them to claim it? Pretty please! It will help us all get just a bit closer to the places that grow and produce what we need now, more than ever!

The Sound Cafe is back this Saturday morning after last week off. The doors open at 8 and you can come and enjoy the farm with a cup of coffee or tea. At 9:30, we will get comfortable and have a 30 minute sound bath to foster intention, healing, and community connection.

The Sounds of Silence - 1 day silent retreat.
On September 19, Susanna Farms invites you to step out of the noise and into focus for a full day silent retreat on our farm.

We'll open together with intention setting, a sound journey, and guided meditation. Then the silence begins. Wander the farm. Sit and breathe. Groom our horses. Let the animals remind you what presence feels like. Two immersive sound baths will carry you deeper.
A nourishing morning spread will be provided, as well as a peaceful silent lunch, and an early dinner will keep you grounded. And as we gently break the silence together, something shifts.
We will close our time together around the fire, leaving behind what we can and inviting a spirit of renewal.

Our last of these for the year! We have loved this combination of equine connection and then a floating sound bath, so we're doing one more. Join us for a practice of peace, healing, and returning to our own sense of wellness. You will meet and interact with the horses, explore the farm, we will come together to discuss our intentions, and we will finish floating in the pool and receiving the healing vibrations of a sound bath.

Our Family Fall Fest Fundraiser is coming Saturday, October 10, 12–6 PM at Susanna Farms.

$10 a person gets you the whole afternoon: feed the chickens, turkeys, goats and sheep, brush and lead a horse, donkey or pony, hayrides and s'mores at the fire pits, crafts and games in the Big Barn, and your handprint on our community art mural.

We will be raising additional money inside with several rounds of Chicken P**p Bingo and a silent auction.

Every dollar goes to the Susanna Farms Animal Care Fund and Scholarship Fund. Help us to provide the best for our animals and to help grow our community reach and allow everyone to be able to experience the magic that is here.

Field trip season is here — come to the farm, or let the farm come to you!

Susanna Farms field trips connect students with animals, nature, and agriculture through hands-on, curiosity-driven learning. Every experience is designed to build compassion, spark questions, and support science and environmental learning standards.

Choose your topic:
Animal Interactions — meet our horses, mini donkey, goats, sheep, and chickens while learning about habitats, daily care and nutrition, animal behavior, health and wellness, and human-animal relationships. Our care practices follow the Five Domains of Animal Welfare Model.

The Lifecycle of a Pumpkin — follow the journey from seed to harvest: growth stages, pollination, seasonal change, and the role of pumpkins in agriculture.

Gardening & Growing — seeds and germination, soil health, plant life cycles, pollinators and beneficial insects, and growing food sustainably.

In person at the farm: $7 per child
