We have discovered that the Kune Kune pork is the best tasting pork anywhere. We have processed one of our own and will have a limited quantity on hand Saturday. In keeping with our mission statement “ Fed and Bred for full flavor. We will also have Stewing hens in the freezer for your consideration. Eggs are in short supply this week. Guava jam is here too.. we are raising free range chickens with heritage breeding.... Outstanding flavor , moist meat and exceptional nutritional qualities. Come on people, chickens should choose what they need to eat, not some chemist. Commodity chickens are produced fast (6 weeks) for maximum profitability, get them anywhere meat is sold. Cheap. People tell me that this or that food will cause serious health issues. Anything I eat had better be " flavor to die for" Happy, healthy, nutritious chicken and turkey. Works for me.

I'm still making my own potting soil, mixing my composed chicken manure, leaf and grass compost , worm castings (got 8 worm beds) and composted wood chips. Takes a while to mature the mix but it's MAGIC.
Tried it growing the citrus and wow!!

I've got two greenhouses under construction. Expanding my dooryard citrus production.
I currently have 230 grafted citrus trees growing out. Strong rootstock with Valencia orange grafts. Some tangerine, Hamlin,and others.

When you buy beef, you only consider "prime", "choice" or "select" grades. Utility grades are much cheaper but are usually processed for hamburger.
Utility chicken is all that is available to the general public. We are offering a "choice". Better breed, better feed makes a chicken that tastes like it should. If chicken isn;t your favorite meat, something ain't right.

Dear Mr. Nix,

I'm the Asian woman that picked up a dozen eggs and a jar of guava jam from you this past Sunday at the Valrico Farmer's Market. I was not a believer when I fried the first egg because it kind of ran all over the bottom of the pan like water when I cracked it into the pan. I fried a second egg for lunch and it was simply perfect. I fried two more eggs this morning for breakfast and they were perfect, too. I seldom eat bread, but the first egg I had on a toasted naan. The second egg I had on a Japanese braised stew. The two this morning I had on a little rice. What a difference from the eggs I get at the grocery store! Thank you very much. I don't think I've ever had eggs this fresh...and I have picked up eggs at the Farmer's Market before and have been very disappointed.

Hope to see you again and hope I get to try a chicken the next time!

Sold out of farm fresh free range chickens and eggs early. We will be processing cornish game birds this week for the 11/18 market.
Customers seem to be catching on to the nutritional benefits of the microgreens selling out by 2 pm.
