We love l***r b**r - we brew a bunch of it, drink a bunch of it, and spend a lot of time thinking, talking, and learning about it.

That’s why winning a Bronze medal at this year’s Great American B**r Festival for our Smoked Helles L***r “Direct Fire” feels extra special. The GABF is the Oscars of b**r, with over 7,000 b**rs in the running in 2026, and we are both humbled and energized by the recognition. And because this was a collaboration with our pals Chicago Culinary Kitchen , it might also be the first time a BBQ joint has won at GABF! Pretty cool.

Unfortunately we’ve sold out of this particular batch (there will definitely be more), but if you want to discover what our l***rs are like, there are several more on draught when we open today at 4. They pair particularly well with a Chicago, New York, or Detroit-style pie from our kitchen!

It’s Friday in October which means, just like the weather, anything can happen.

Luckily for you what’s happening in the taproom today is surprisingly delicious, as we’re honored to co-release Roaring Rivers, a collaboration brewed at and with our great pals in St. Charles, the fantabulous Riverlands Brewing - St. Charles IL !!

This is a special if perhaps financially unwise b**r, a Triple Dry-Hopped IPA that received a whopping 7.7 pounds of hops per barrel throughout the brewing process. Get a load of the stuff we used: Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Mosaic Hyperboost, Mosaic Dynaboost, Simcoe, Simcoe Quantum, Peacharine, NZ Cascade, NZ Cascade Hop Kief, and NZ Cascade Amplifire Oil.

Holy cow!

Riverlands and Roaring Table share an interest in what some call “Modern West Coast” and others designate “California-Style” IPAs, but whatever nomenclature you prefer, the result is lean, clean, and bursting with a mix of old- and new-school hops. It’s freaking good!

So now you have two options - get to St Charles or Lake Zurich - because our two breweries are the only locations you’ll be able to experience this b**r this afternoon.

We’re so excited to bring Fish Fry Fridays™️ back to the taproom on the First Friday of each month! In addition to our usual lineup of delicious chow, we’ll be serving two variations on this classic, Midwestern-supper-club fare:

Helles-Battered Cod served with hand-cut, whole-potato fries, coleslaw, and housemade remoulade!

Helles-Brined & Breaded Perch with hand-cut, whole-potato fries, coleslaw, and housemade remoulade!

As always, we’ll use our own b**r and simple, high-quality ingredients for everything. When we’ve done fish fries in the past, we packed the house and sold out quickly, so plan a Friday visit, get here early, and come hungry! We’ll save some malt vinegar (IYKYK) for you!
