Protomelas taeniolatus " Red Empress "

About 11 years ago now I had a wild group of red empress from Namalenje. They were imported from Stuartgranti. And was one of the best lines around in the hobby I kept them going for many years about 4 years ago I sold off the rest of the stock I had and about a year and half ago completely regretted doing that as the quality I saw in the hobby was very low quality. So about a year ago I reached out to someone I sold a majority of the f1 too and got a group back and the quality is still as good as I left it.

Attached are some photos of the original wild breeder and my new breeder male which is his grand grand kid. Something around F3 - F4

I totally forgot to share this but now that I have read 3/4 of it I thought I would share it !!!!! This is hands down one of best books released in the last 5 years and worth every penny it cost. I can't thank Michel Keijman enough for his amazing work on this book !!! So grateful to own a copy I order it in December and it took about 8 days to get to me from him !

The stunning purple tetra from the Orinoco river of colombia,

Hyphessobrycon Metae !!!! ( the purple tetra )

This is one of the smallest Hyphessobrycon tetra put it has a punch as they mature the purple on this fish is astonishing, certainly a must have in any planted tank, extreme docile unlike most Hyphessobrycon and they stay in tight school all around the tank they move like a ball it's quit impressive to watch!!!! These are still fairly young but have been quartined for 9 weeks now and are stable health and starting to color !!!!
