🥒🌱 GARDEN PICK DAY at Halfmoon Family Homestead! 🌱🫑
Today’s harvest brought us some beautiful:
🥒 Cucumbers
💚 Zucchini
🌞 Squash
🫑 Green Peppers
And you know what that means... CANNING WEEK IS HERE! 🫙❤️
There’s just something special about walking out to the garden, picking what we’ve grown, and turning it into food we can enjoy long after summer is gone.
Lots of washing, chopping, canning, and probably a messy kitchen coming our way this week! 😂

We've been a little quiet on here lately, but I promise we haven't been sitting around doing nothing! 😂
We've been BUSY moving to the new homestead and trying to get everything situated. We've been building new chicken coops... and we've still got like FOUR MORE TO GO! 😳🐔🔨
At this point, I think the chickens are getting nicer houses than us! 🤣
🐣 Another batch of American Bresse are due to hatch in about 5 days, then we've got some quail and BYM chicks coming along for our future layers. The incubators aren't getting a break either!
Our free-range chickens are LOVING their new home with SO much land to explore. ❤️
And apparently the free-range bunnies decided the new homestead needed a few more residents... because THEY HAD BABIES! 🐇🐇🐇🤣 Now we've got little bunnies running around the property, eating right alongside the wild turkeys and chickens. It's becoming our own little homestead wildlife community!
As for us people folk...
😴 WE ARE EXHAUSTED. 😂
But we keep kickin'! One project at a time, one coop at a time, and probably way too much coffee. ☕🤣
We are SO EXCITED to finally get settled into our temporary living quarters and start enjoying everything we've worked so hard for.
💧 Fingers crossed the water gets hooked up TODAY! 🤞🤞🤞
It's messy.
It's exhausting.
It's a little chaotic.
