We fight, we love, we build—together,
never giving up on each other. Though it may feel real tempting at times 🤭😉. We learn each day to extend mercy and be empowered by grace to carry out the assignments for which God has brought us together.

This is an unfortunately accurate depiction of Shwetha Mangalvedkar in front of technology.

You know the stereotype about Indians being good with technology? She clearly missed that memo.

Shwe can create a menu from scratch and feed hundreds of people…

But put a POS screen in front of her and suddenly she needs adult supervision.

Small business ownership:
10% cooking
20% planning
70% “WAIT… WHERE DO I CLICK?!”

Who else has been personally humbled by technology? 😂

Today, JJ's Fusion Khaana got a little… TURTLE-y.

For years, I had heard about Travis Settineri ("Doodles"), the guy with the hair clippers, the ice-cream truck, the Ninja Turtle van, and a heart for people who are often overlooked. Our paths crossed here and there, but this year, through our partnership with Worth and Purpose, we've had the incredible privilege of getting to learn about Travis's heart for the people in our community.

Today, five of us squeezed into those ridiculous Ninja Turtle suits, three of us climbed into that van while the other two turtles followed behind and we rode through Lakeland with Travis, handed out meals, talked with people, prayed with a few, laughed A LOT, and probably gave downtown Lakeland some very questionable entertainment.

And somewhere between the laughter, the discussions and the ridiculous photos, I found myself deeply grateful.Because for us, this was an afternoon. For Travis and his team, this is a lifestyle.

It’s what it looks like to lay down your life, pick up your cross, and love people extravagantly. To see the person others might walk past. To offer a meal, a hug, a prayer, a conversation, or simply the dignity of being seen.

That’s kingdom love in action.

We’re honored that a portion of our JJ’s pop-up proceeds goes toward Worth and Purpose, and even more honored to get to step out from behind the food counter and serve alongside people who are doing this day in and day out.

Thank you, Travis, for letting us be part of it today. And thank you for reminding us that no act of love is too small when it’s done with a willing heart.

If you don’t know Travis or Worth and Purpose, go find out what they’re doing right here in Lakeland. Better yet, ask how you can help.

And yes… there may be a video coming soon of the JJ’s Fusion Khaana Ninja Turtles in action.

🐢😂

You’ve been warned.

See you at Catapult Lakeland for a from 11am-3pm!
