LakeShore Nubians LakeShore Farms Nubian Dairy Goats

8-Time ADGA National Show Premier Nubian Breeder & Exhibitor

Home of Heart Mt LaManchas & Lil Miss B Haven Nigerians

The story at LakeShore is similar to most in that what started many years ago in the spring of 1990 as a young girls’ 4-H project has evolved into a labor of love, which now includes the entire family. Over the past eighteen years, this family venture has brought us much joy, opportunity and togetherness. Our goal has always been to produce well-balanced animals that show, milk and reproduce. Through the years we have worked with several different bloodlines to develop our own style of Nubians, ones that enable us to achieve our goals. We are very pleased with the type of animals that we are breeding and are proud and confident to offer them for sale to our fellow Nubian breeders. The herd is located in Northern California, approximately 120 miles northwest of Sacramento, along the "lakeshore" of the largest natural lake in California - Clear Lake. The natural lake and mountain setting provides mild weather throughout the year that everyone enjoys. On average, the Nubian herd consists of around thirty animals that compete on a local, state and national level each year. The Nubians share the farm with Heart Mt. LaManchas, a partnership that was created August 4, 2007 following the marriage of Megan and Aaron Carter. This addition was welcomed with open arms and we are looking forward to what the future holds.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 goat show season! 🐐

Yesterday we made our way to Dixon with just 4 Nubian kids for our final show of the year after a BUSY summer filled with goat shows, family vacation, county fair, and the start of the school year for the girls . It was the perfect way to close out the season!

🌟 Lakeshore Meta Beach Barbie was the big winner of the day, taking Grand Champion in Ring 1 and later being named Best Junior Doe In Show! Standing Reserve Champion to her was Lakeshore TB Give It 2 Me, one of our IVF kids born in February. We couldn’t be more excited to see these young does stepping into the show ring and representing our breeding program so well!

We were also excited to see a brand-new club show, Autumn Daze, come together this year. It was incredibly well attended, blessed with perfect weather, and a wonderful way to finish the show season surrounded by so many friends from the dairy goat community.

And just like that, it’s time to turn our attention to BREEDING SEASON! Things will be getting into full swing soon, and we’ll be releasing our breeding plans for 2027 kids before long. We’re already excited about what’s in store for next year!

We already doubled our goat show participation over last year by attending the Sunday REDGA show with the Nubians, after I spent Saturday getting everyone clipped and show-ready following a busy week at my day job!

We were thrilled to get GCH Lakeshore Breathtaking Beauty back out in the ring as a 3-year-old in the Champion Challenge Class. She certainly knew it was her moment, strutting her stuff all the way to being named Best Doe in Show under Julie Matthys.

It was an especially emotional win because it immediately brought back memories of her dam, GCH Lakeshore True Beauty, receiving the same honor in 2024. After battling a severe case of E. coli mastitis shortly after finishing her championship as a first-freshening 2-year-old, we truly believed Breathtaking’s show career was over. Against the odds, she fought her way back to the ring, making this win feel even more meaningful.

The legacy that Beauty built within our herd continues to shine, even though she is no longer with us. Breathtaking’s yearling daughter, Lakeshore Take My Breath Away, is developing into our fanciest milking yearling, and her son, Lakeshore Waiting To Exhale, is already siring some very promising kids that we are excited to watch mature.

Some moments in this journey just mean a little more. ❤️

🎉 TIME TO PARTY! 🎉

As a 4-year-old 4th freshener at her very first show of the season, Lakeshore Where’s The Party 5*M, finally found the Party and she made sure everyone noticed! Against a competitive breed division of 19 Nubians, Party was 3x 1st, 1x Grand Champion, 2x Reserve Grand Champion, and 2x Best Udder of Breed

Party has definitely been a lesson in patience for us. From an awkward kid to a gangly yearling, she took her time maturing but that extra time has paid off beautifully. Today, she’s developing into the kind of mature doe we love to build a herd around.

While we appreciate her dairy strength, smoothness of blending, and tremendous will to milk, her standout feature is unquestionably her mammary system: capacious and strongly attached with impressive height, width, and arch to the rear udder, combined with beautiful fore udder extension and overall balance.

Even more exciting, her first freshening daughter, Lakeshore TB Royal Tea Party, will soon make her show ring debut and she already appears ready to follow right in her dam’s hoofprints.

And for those looking to add this maternal strength and productive consistency to their own herd… 👀

🚨 Party has an eye-catching buck kid available! 🚨

Sired by Woest-Hoeve ME Black Currant, this young herd sire prospect combines an exciting pedigree with the kind of mammary genetics we value generation after generation. He’ll be ready to work this fall and offers a great opportunity to incorporate proven production, udder quality, and style into your breeding program.

📩 Serious inquiries welcome, contact us for more details before he’s spoken for!

The first goat show of the year reminds us of how much work it really is and why we only managed to attend one show in 2025.

The 3 ring show at North Valley DGA is always one of our favorites and didn’t disappoint. We only took a total of 10 does; 4 Nubians and 6 Nigerians; and managed to earn dry legs on all 3 dry yearlings, a milking leg on Lakeshore Where’s The Party, and a Nigerian milking leg, plus some reserve champions.

We’ll post photos this week of the individual does!

💕KISS ME is a standout February doe kid who is the complete package combining style, substance, and show-ring potential. Selected straight from our keeper pen, she has the look and presence to turn heads and make a splash wherever she goes.

Her dam, GCH Lakeshore TB Vanity Girl 4*M EX90, descends from one of our strongest and most consistent dam lines that has produced many outstanding does who have made a lasting impact in our herd. Vanity was 3rd place Two Year-Old at the 2023 ADGA National Show and 7th place Three Year-Old in 2024. We love her long, lean neck, strength of topline, width of rump and overall balance. The mammary is quite remarkable with tremendous width of rear, area of attachment and correct medial. Vanity’s maternal sisters include: SGCH Lakeshore Dandy Showgirl 4*M, SGCH Lakeshore DL Material Girl 4*M and Lakeshore Calendar Girl. Their dam, SGCH Alize Kailia’s Kovergirl 3*M EX90, is a daughter of SGCH Desert Willow KE CK Kailia 2*M EX93, who was the 2009 ADGA National Reserve Best Udder and 1st place in her Aged Doe class.

Her sire, *B Tamris Farm Tusk Metamorphic, is just beginning to make his mark on the breed with his first daughters freshening with lovely mammaries. Meta’s dam, GCH Tamris Farm BG Andradite 15*M, Elite EX91 was 1st place/1st Udder Milking Yearling at the 2023 ADGA National Show and 4th place/3rd Udder Three Year-Old in 2025. Andradite is sired by *B Lakeshore Beauty Of The Game, Elite EX90 who is a son of the 2023 ADGA Reserve National Champion, GCH Lakeshore True Beauty EX93, who won her milking class at both the 2023 and 2024 ADGA National Shows.

If you’re looking for a doe that combines charm, style and balance…here she is!

🎸SWAGGER is a young herd sire prospect who represents generations of intentional breeding and proven performance, descending from one of our most consistent dam lines that excel in mammary strength.

He is out of our incredible herd matriarch, GCH Lakeshore Belmont Vogue 5*M EX92, a doe who has consistently delivered top placings at several National Shows, completed lactations over 3,000 lbs, linear appraised Excellent and most importantly has made a lasting mark on our herd through her daughters and sons alike. Vogue was 3rd place Four Year-Old at the 2023 ADGA National Show and 4th place 5/6 Year-Old in 2024. She is a daughter of SGCH Lakeshore DL Material Girl 4*M EX92, who was 5th place/2nd Udder Three Year-Old at the 2019 ADGA National Show, and sired by *B Lakeshore Belmont Stakes, who is a son of SGCH Lakeshore Perfect Bellissima 7*M EX91, the 2015 ADGA Reserve National Champion, National Best Udder, and Nubian Total Performer.

His sire, *B Wingwood Farm Ara Aerosmith, is a buck who quickly caught my attention last fall with his overall correctness in general appearance, impressive stature, and impeccable pedigree. He is a son of GCH Wingwood Farm Sweet Avril, Elite EX94 who was the 2024 ADGA National Champion and National Best Udder Nubian, and 2025 ADGA Reserve National Champion.
