We're winding down for the season, but our resupply area is still open until October 1st helping those end of season backpackers. The hiker boxes are full, the store is stocked, the charging cables are aplenty, and we've got a real friendly welcome committee!

It’s been a great season and we are grateful for all our wonderful guests that came through the ranch this season. Just a few short weeks and we will be saying good bye till 2027.

Road work all over 168 this summer. Give yourself plenty of extra time. This work is after you pass the town of Shaver. When you get to Kaiser Pass Road, there is more road delays due to tree mitigation.

FRESNO COUNTY —The Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in cooperation with Viking Construction, announces the following schedule update in part of the State Route 168 Shaver Lake Viaduct Project in Fresno County.

The following will occur Thursday, June 25th:

• The contractor will perform controlled blasting operations along the hillside of State Route 168 within the project limits in continuation with work site preparation.
• During the blasting operations, the contractor will hold and manage traffic along State Route 168 utilizing one lane reversing traffic control.
o Commuters are reminded to obey flagging personnel and pay close attention to road construction vehicles and personnel.

Closures may continue for longer periods of time, if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur. Commuters are advised to plan accordingly.
