We believe raising cattle ethically is not only non-negotiable, but our God-given duty. Pickhead Cattle (originally JD Farms) was started in 2010 with 4 heifer calves by Jane Vierzen Long. Since our origins in 2010 we have grown to 40+ head of cattle, a dozen or so chickens, and Jane has added a ranch hand (her husband Rob Long). Pickhead Cattle specializes in low cholesterol, low fat, high qualit

Piedmontese is available again!!

Are you looking for delicious, lean and tender beef? If so, Piedmontese is for you!

This breed is known for a gene mutation that makes the meat incredibly tender and they are double muscled, which makes it very lean. It also has extremely low cholesterol (lower than fish and turkey)

It has a great delicious beefy flavor, we love it!

Going in September 3rd to Jones Farm Meats in Saranac. They always do a great job and we love that they are family ran.

Piedmontese is our specialty breed. We will have limited availability now, and will have more available this winter.
