CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We had four competitions at our Light & Sirens and Cougar Cookoff on Saturday; 2 Steak Cookoff Association Steak Competitions, 1 Steak Cookoff Association Bloody Mary Competition, and 1 Amateur Steak Competition.

Jessica Barnes won Steak A. She was ranked #7 in the SCA points chase last week, this win should help her move up in the ranking. Congrats Jessica!

Steak B competition came up with a tie for first place, with the tie-breaker going to Keven Farrell. Great work by Keven and 2nd place winner Mark Johnson!

Bloody Mary anyone??? First off, all the entries looked absolutely amazing. The creativity was amazing with all entries including lobsters, crab legs, fire engines, Stanley Cup, hamburgers, State Fair foods, amazing garnishes, and several crazy Halloween displays. Great work by everyone!!! The one that rose to the top was by Lu Holter that included lobster, shrimp, eggs, lemons, cheese, and much more! For the taste judging side, Lu used Croix Valley Horseradish Bloody Mary Seasoning. Congrats Lu on getting the Ancillary Golden Ticket!

Steve Rost was the Amateur Steak Competition Champion. All of these cooks did a great job and presented their best sirloin steaks to the SCA judges. Thank you to all you that competed!

Bloody Mary Judging Sponsorship

We are looking for 10 Judge Sponsorships for our Bloody Mary Competition on Saturday October 9. What better way to get your afternoon started than judging Bloody Mary's???

When: Saturday October 9th at Aronson Park. Need to be there by noon for the judges meeting.

What: You are sponsoring the Bloody Mary with your $25 donation. Sponsors will get opportunity at 1 of 10 judge seats. You will judge half of the overall entries and then get to "sample" all the excess drinks made.
