Good morning, Brigade!

It's Sunday, and the little ones are already making sure nobody gets to sleep in around here!

Between the crowing, the morning chatter, and everybody having their own opinion about how things should be done, there's never a dull moment with this bunch. 😂

And you know what? I wouldn't trade it for anything! These tiny little characters bring so much fun and laughter to my mornings. Even the troublemakers have a way of making me smile.

🐥 Saturday with the Pocket Flock Brigade! 🐥

Good morning, Brigade! Happy Saturday!

It's the weekend, but nobody bothered to tell the Pocket Flock! 😂

They're up early, full of energy, and carrying on like they've got a hundred things to accomplish before breakfast. What those things are, I couldn't tell you, but apparently they're VERY important!

Meanwhile, I'm just trying to enjoy my morning coffee while this tiny bunch runs their own version of Saturday morning chaos.

Wouldn't have it any other way! ❤️

🐣 Working From Home Has Its Perks! 🐣

One of my favorite things about working from home? Having a brooder full of baby chicks right here in my office!

Nothing makes the workday go by faster than listening to those sweet little peeps while I'm working. And let's face it, it's pretty hard to have a bad day when you've got a bunch of fluffy little faces staring at you from across the room. 😂

Of course, productivity sometimes takes a hit. It's awfully tempting to stop what I'm doing and check on the babies for the 47th time!

But I wouldn't have it any other way. They make the day go faster, bring a little entertainment to the office, and are definitely the cutest coworkers I've ever had.

The only downside? They're terrible at answering emails, contribute absolutely nothing to the workload, and somehow still manage to demand all my attention!

Anyone else have some unusual work-from-home coworkers? Let's hear about them!

Let's Talk Kikirikis!

I've been spending quite a bit of time researching Kikirikis, particularly their genetics, and I'm working on a series of blog posts to share what I'm learning.

The more I dig into these tiny chickens, the more questions I have! There's so much to explore when it comes to their history, characteristics, genetics, and breeding.

As I work through this project, I'd really love to hear from other Kikiriki owners and breeders. Your experiences, observations, and knowledge are just as interesting to me as the research itself!

So let's get a conversation going! What have you learned from raising or breeding Kikirikis? Are there particular traits, colors, or genetic questions you'd love to see covered in the series?
