This Labor Day, we want to say thank you to our incredible Food and Nutrition Services team! ❤️💙

From preparing meals and welcoming students to supporting school communities across the district, your hard work makes a difference every single day.

Today, we celebrate the dedication, care, and commitment of the Jeffco Food and Nutrition Services team. Thank you for everything you do behind the scenes and on the front lines to help nourish students and support schools across Jeffco.

🍎📚 Here’s what’s on the menu for the week of September 7–11!

After the Labor Day weekend, we’re ready to welcome students back with plenty of breakfast and lunch options across our elementary, middle, and high schools.

🥞 Breakfast favorites include French Toast Sticks, Pancake & Sausage Breakfast Sandwiches, Blueberry Waffles, Cinnamon Rolls, and more.

🍕 Lunch options include pizza, burgers, Chicken Tender & Maple Waffles, Cheesy Alfredo Pasta, Grilled Cheese, Chicken Meatball Subs, and other student favorites.

🥛 Daily options also include fruit, vegetables, milk, and additional entrée choices depending on grade level.

📌 Reminder: No School Monday, September 7 for Labor Day.

🏈🎟️ Athletic passes for the 2026–27 school year are now available!

Families approved for Free or Reduced-Price Meal benefits are encouraged to visit their high school’s financial secretary to receive their athletic pass for the school year.

Haven’t completed your Student Benefits Application yet? Apply online today at schoolcafe.com/JEFFCOSD.

Sometimes you’ve got to have a little fun in Child Nutrition too 😂🐔🥪

Our Nutrition Director, Beth Wallace, put her own spin on the viral McDonald's CEO bite with this chicken biscuit sandwich moment — but behind the laughs is a team of school nutrition heroes putting in the work each and every day.

From early mornings to serving students with care, our staff works hard to make sure meals are ready, students are fed, and our schools continue to be supported through strong daily operations.

It’s a fun video, but it also shines a light on the people behind the scenes who help make school meals happen every single day. We appreciate all they do for our students and school community! 💙

Here’s a look at what’s coming up next week across our elementary, middle, and high schools!

Breakfast favorites include Sausage & Cheese Stuffed Waffles, Strawberry Mini Pancakes, Egg & Green Chile Breakfast Burritos, Smoothies, Cinnamon Rolls, and more. 🥞🍓

For lunch, students can look forward to options like Mac & Cheese, Pork Carnitas Tacos, Pizza, Mandarin Orange Chicken, Roasted Chicken Drumsticks, Penne Pasta & Meatballs, Chicken Tenders with Maple Waffles, and more. 🌮🍕🍗

🌶️ And don’t miss our Chili with Local Colorado Beef & Fritos — featured Friday at elementary schools and Monday at middle and high schools!

Elementary students can look forward to breakfast favorites like French Toast Sticks, a Pancake & Sausage Breakfast Sandwich, Cinnamon Rolls, and Blueberry Waffles, plus lunch choices including Beef Nachos, Pizza, Chicken Potstickers, BBQ Pork Sandwiches, and more.

Middle and high school students will have even more options throughout the week, including Chicken & Biscuit Sandwiches, Smoothies, Philly Cheesesteaks, Spicy Chicken Tenders, Burgers, In-House Pizza, Hatch Green Chile Pasta, Beef Nachos, and more.

The first day of school is here, and our Food & Nutrition Services team is ready for a great year! 🍎🥗

Before welcoming students back, our team spent time learning, training, collaborating, and preparing for the year ahead. From professional development to recognizing some of our incredible teams, it was a great opportunity to come together and focus on what matters most — serving our students.

A lot of work happens behind the scenes to make each school day possible, and we’re grateful for the dedicated people who make it happen.
