Update on Brewing:

My controller is built. I have CraftBeerPi up and running! Heating elements work, pumps work and I'm auto-tuning the systems temp control.

My kettle and basket are ready! The basket fits PERFECT inside the kettle, almost like it was made for it!

While performing a water/temp test I cleaned both basket and kettle so they are ready to brew.

Water and temp test passed with flying colors!

Things I still need....

A power switch for the display.
A fan on the outside to keep air flowing since the Raspberry Pi it's mounted instead
A power button to put the Pi to sleep

3 very minor details, none that delay beer making!

Kegging my Space Ghost Saison

Brewed with Omega C2C (coast to coast) yeast

Finished at 1.004 after 3 months. Kegged and hoping it drops more in the keg.

The beer on the right is my Berliner Weisse made with L. Planterum. Sour up front and finishes clean. I'll make raspberry syrup this weekend and serve it "mit schuss"

Its been a while since I've posted. New full time job, busy personal life, laziness...

But my goal is to get some stuff updated on the webpage, get some beers added, update my tap list. Also, I want to post some recipes of beers I know that have been really delicious.

Brewing Berliner Weisse tonight!....and the next 2 nights!

Full details to come in an actual post, but the jist is...

6 lbs german pils
6 lbs german wheat malt
2.5 oz Haulertauer Mash hops AFTER souring
Goodbelly Probiotic for Lacto
German Ale yeast for Primary

Mash at 150 for 90 minutes

Lower the mash to 110 and hold for 2 days (ish) till pH reaches 3.7

Pitch hops into the mash, raise BACK to 150, then mash out

After Mash is completed sparging and performing a NO BOIL in my kettle. Raising to 200 to kill the lacto, then into primary with only Sacc. After primary i'm transfering into 2 kegs and pitching some Brett into each keg for 4 months.

This will be ready for mid summer!
