I Grew up in a home with an excellent cook and teacher, my Mama. Long story short... eventually I worked in the corporate world doing marketing/branding design/campaigns seen by many millions online and real-world... still I l
oved cooking/baking and at some point (while still in college) decided to make super delicious (often healthier, but you'd never know) cookies using my own from scratch recipes.
..I often brought my cookies in to work on "Casual Fridays" which some of my co-workers began to call "Cookie Fridays". if I missed a Cookie Friday for any reason (like my goldfish dying, or I was busy watching episodes of Iron Chef Japan) they really didn't care, all they knew was "no Cookie Friday?!?!". And then the hate-mails would show up....And Cookie Fridays was born. I took many years of cookie feedback to perfect my own recipes from scratch for those lucky guinea pigs I call(ed) my friends and co-workers. Strangely enough no one ever complained about all the free cookies. Really, it was blackmail, cookies in exchange for feedback and requests. I just love cooking and baking, and perfecting my cookies was just a seriously fun hobby. In 2011 I created Cookie Fridays to provide for reals "Cookie Fridays", to workplaces across the land! When's the last time you brought cookies in to work at the end of the week? Think your co-workers would complain? It's amazing how some excellent cookies (baked with love of course) for everyone can change a whole day. Some have wondered if there is something special and extra delicious going on due to the high altitude...? The recipes have all been created, and are baked at over a mile up. The oven is at 5,628 feet of elevation, all my recipes have been developed from scratch with excellent natural and organic ingredients at high altitude. My cookies also have less sugar than a typical cookie recipe (if you followed the recipe on a bag of chocolate chips for instance) but when you try the cookies you would never guess it, I promise you that! Now that my son is grown and I have enjoyed a couple decades of working for some amazing people here in Colorado... Now I too have the goal to create some more jobs/careers in Colorado, as well as give back to community...
