You’ve probably heard of turmeric - (the plant that produces deep yellow/orange anti inflammatory compounds), but have you heard of blue turmeric? It really is blue. It’s the “most medicinal” of the turmerics.
Well, the experiment at The Gardens is working and blue turmeric is growing in my high tunnel.

Well, the garlic scapes are now garlic pucks. Blended them with just enough olive oil to hold them together. Flash frozen and then double bagged. Great to pull from the freezer for any recipe all winter long.

This is your reminder to check your garlic. All of this rain has been wonderful for it. Just harvested the scapes from my hard neck garlic. I usually pickle them for year round use but today I’m going to make garlic pucks to freeze individually. More to come . . .
