Broken femur/LCL tear mended!

Lotus and Oliver are back in the saddle and didn’t disappoint in the Classic at Ottawa International at Wesley Clover Parks Canada finishing with a seventh and winning a class earlier in the week. Onward and upward 🎉🇨🇦❤️

The progress that this young jumper made in 6 days was immense. “Coco’s” aka Jazda Tomelata Z’s first show in North America is in the books with very limited miles in Europe. She shows so much promise. 2 Clear rounds this week and we can’t beat that ❤️🇨🇦
Forever thankful to owners Ann and Valdi Kolasa for trusting BDR with this young horse. Excited to see her future. One day at a time.

Super Congratulations to Hope and Lotus Chang for being RESERVE CHAMPION in the 2’9 hunters out of 17 at Ottawa International Horse Show!
1st, 3rd in the over fences and 3rd in the flat!

Super proud of Lotus for getting back in the ring for the first time after recovering from a femur fracture and complete LCL tear that occurred the last week of WEF. Beyond brave💕 having three great rounds during the week on Oliver.

Super happy that Lilly is continuing to get stronger jumping and back to her old self after two years off with a couple of 4ths in a large competitive field.

Very pleased with Hope for stepping into the 3 ft greens all week with a 7th out of some very nice hunters!

Beyond proud of Iza and her new horse Maki for making their debut (the last day was especially awesome) in the show ring !

Of all of the sports I’ve been very competitive in (downhill ski racing, swimming, and cross country running all at varsity levels), riding is by far the most complex and misunderstood sport by others . It requires mental toughness that is immense and skill of both horse and rider to align perfectly in 90 seconds. Proud to be part of the process.

Beyond proud of all of the BDR horses and riders this week! Thank you Angel for being a second pair of hands this week💕.

International ring had fantastic footing. Staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The starters were so kind and happy. We will definitely be back! The cost was a fraction of what we were used to in USA. Loving the new management and owners who took the time to come say hi.
