As promised, Marg Madness 2026 content is here. 🍹🍋‍🟩🧂

To get you up to speed, for March, my friends and I are ordering a house margarita at pre-selected restaurants for 2026 in the ultimate battle royale. Margarita winners are selected purely on taste, though a good vibe and value are always appreciated. This bracket is the Fan Fave Bracket selected by our participants.

We started strong at in Rosamond—this was the kind of margarita you don’t overthink. Classic, slightly sweet, a traditional vibe. At this point, we were like… yeah, this is solid.

Over to in Palmdale…

Their margarita was balanced and layered—but the real moment was the salt foam. The foam was just this smooth, savory cloud on top that completely changed every sip. Our table leaned toward less-sweet cocktails, but we can also appreciate tradition.

Now here’s the thing—our group was split. After asking ourselves whether we were going to order one more margarita, which one would we choose?

After much serious consideration…
🏆 Coaches Tavern takes the Fan Fave Bracket of 2026.

Las Margaritas did a great job showcasing a classic marg.

The next bracket is Craft Cocktails featuring vs.

We have 4 more rounds to go 😅

Follow along to see who wins Marg Madness 2026!

Something new and fresh just opened in Lancaster. ☕

feels like a little slice of downtown LA dropped into the Antelope Valley — minimalist, thoughtful, and quietly cool.

The almond croissant is a buttery goddess.
The Strawberry Matchs is made with real strawberries + ceremonial matcha.
And the Blondie (banana, nutmeg, cinnamon) comes with a beautiful story behind it and is also a genuinely good drink. Bananas and coffee just make sense.

There’s also a cool connection with — even the pastries have a collaboration story. I’ll let them tell that part. Follow their socials for all the neat deets behind the spot.

This one’s worth stopping by. They’re only open on the weekends at the moment, so go now!

It's a great day to be a Californian when you want Mexican food and a margarita! 🇲🇽🌮🍹

Don Sebastian is as classic as it gets in Quartz Hill right off of 50th. I was feeling dramatic, so I ordered fajitas for attention and taste. Don't sleep on that bean dip. Hot take: if a Mexican restaurant serves bean dip without asking, its about to be good meal. 🔥

It's been awhile since I've joined a classic battle of food and bev (the OG folks know: steak debates, breakfast burrito challenges)

I’m participating in MARG MADNESS this March with my good friends leading the charge! Through a highly classified meeting, we have chosen dates that work with our busy lives to try margaritas all over the AV. We will conclude one winner at the end of the month!

Of course, I'll be eating food with my margs along the way so I don't die. 2 Margaritas no lunch is only fun as a meme, turns out. 😂 It just means more content for you!

What do you think? Are you interested in Marg Madness content?

Dearest Gentle… Eater,

Spring is upon us, and so are trips to 🫖🌹

Located in Santa Clairta, Tea Elle C (get it!?) is surrounded by beautiful greenery, whimsy, and elegance. If you’re searching for Afternoom Tea, this is a great option filled with delicious teas, sweet scones and desserts, tasty finger sandwiches, and thoughtful touches.

Yes they do have clotted cream! (Thank goodness!)

There are also full breakfast and lunch options if you happen to fall famished.

Find yourself an afternoon and call upon your squad to spill the tea. Til next time!

Beef carpaccio, Proscittuo with Pecorino and tasty Figs, Linguine with Clams, Pumpkin Sage Ricotta stuffed Tortellini, Prosciutto Mushroom Pizza… with drinks and two desserts we absolutely needed.

I already want to go back and try the rest! These drinks are perfectly playful, with colors and traditional Valentine's Day sweet flavors like raspberry, strawberry, white chocolate, milk chocolate, honey, and various cold creams.

It's fun to revisit the classic restaurants in the Antelope Valley like in Palmdale! Fresco II is a family-owned Mediterranean spot that has been operating in the AV area for over 20 years.

I was with my Dad, who 1. Needed to charge his electric car and 2. Wanted some classic spaghetti and meatballs, so this was the spot! Bonus: There were TVs in the bar, so I got to watch the LA Rams beat the Chicago Bears.

We enjoyed Spanikopita, Chicken Feta, Short Rib Ravioli, and Mama G’s classic spaghetti. Of course, I had an Old Fashioned; I do this for you so you know your options. 😁

Fun Fact: The Graffeo family owns and ! Now you can see the Greek/Italian influence. This location is actually their second (hence the name), though the previous location is no longer in use (I grew up right next to it, so the Fresco name was well known in my house!) Both are stellar restaurants, very different from each other, and worth visiting.

Also, the has plenty of car charging ports in case you ever need one. 😁

Til next time!

The Antelope Valley is lucky to have high-quality Thai restaurants, and Salatip is no exception! 🍛🍲🥘

Salatip Thai Cuisine has been serving the Antelope Valley for over 20 years, off of 20th Street West and Avenue K. You can find all the classics like Pad Thai and curries, but we were in a soup mood for all the rain we’ve had this past week. We went with the Tom Yum G*i, a Spicy Chicken Soup with Mushrooms in Hot and Sour Soup with a touch of Lemon Grass. Spice Level? 7 & 8; I am a self-prescribed spice lover, and I found 7/8 to be perfect for me.

The Egg Rolls were perfect, and the Jungle Curry was savory, bright, and satisfying, with a little white rice. We wrapped up our meal with some Thai Iced Coffee, which is like a dessert itself! I completely missed the secret menu, so obviously I have to go back.

Check out Salatip next time you're in the mood to thai something new! 😉🥘

Did your New Year kick off with fresh challenges or familiar ones? Whatever the case, we’re here to tackle them together!

Committing to your health while staying social can feel like a tightrope walk. The pull of celebrations, the pressure to indulge—it’s a lot! But here’s the truth: You deserve to prioritize you.

Let’s talk about how to honor your goals while staying connected with your loved ones.

🌟 Here’s to Being Your Best Self!

🗺️ Plan Ahead for Success:
Heading out to eat? Do a little homework first. Check the menu online and pick options that align with your goals. High-protein choices like fish, grilled chicken, or tacos on the lighter side are my go-tos. Craving something fresh? Sashimi or a salad-style poke bowl (hold the sauces!) never disappoint. Having a plan means fewer surprises and more confidence when you order.

🍹🍸 Sip Smarter:
If you’re saying yes to Dry January (or just cutting back), mocktails are a game changer. Most spots will gladly whip up their signature drinks minus the booze. Some even stock non-alcoholic spirits! For something simple and refreshing, I love soda water with lime—add a splash of juice for extra flavor if you like. Trust me, your body will thank you!

🧊 Open Up:
Your goals are important, and the people who care about you will want to support them. Share your intentions with friends and family—it can turn peer pressure into cheerleading! Who knows, your commitment might even inspire someone else to take a step toward their own goals.

💡 Remember: Grace Over Perfection
Your goals are yours, and they can evolve. Life is about balance, not sacrifice. Embrace the journey, make mindful choices, and create a future that feels good—inside and out.

Cheers to your healthiest, happiest year yet! 🥂
