🐥 Warning: Extreme Cuteness Has Taken Over Boone Trace Creamery! 🐥

The peeping started before the coffee even kicked in this morning... and now our newest crew has officially arrived! ❤️

These little fluff balls may fit in the palm of your hand today, but in just a few short weeks they'll be enjoying fresh pasture, sunshine, bugs, and plenty of room to roam. That's how we believe chickens should be raised—with care, respect, and the best life possible.

Watching a new batch arrive never gets old. Every tiny peep is another reminder that we're one step closer to providing our community with high-quality, locally raised, non-GMO chicken.

If you've been thinking about filling your freezer with delicious pasture-raised chicken, now is the time!

📩 Send us a message today to reserve your chicken before they're all spoken for. We have a limited number available, and reservations are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thank you for supporting a small family farm and for believing in what we're building here at Boone Trace Creamery. We can't wait to share this journey with you!

Sometimes things don't go the way we hope.

Losing all of our Olive Egger hatching eggs was disappointing, and while those setbacks are never easy, they won't stop the plans we have for Boone Trace Creamery.

Every challenge is just another reminder that farming is about adapting, learning, and moving forward.

So instead of dwelling on what didn't happen, we took another step toward growing our flock! ❤️

🐔 We welcomed **4 Rhode Island Reds** to help expand our laying hen production.

🐓 We also brought home **another Barred Rock**, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one turns out to be a rooster!

🦃 And Jenny (our turkey) has a new turkey friend! Although, if you ask the chicks she grew up with, they still seem convinced she's their mom. 😂 It's been fun watching them all together.

Every new bird represents another step toward the future we're building here. There will be setbacks along the way—that's part of farming—but there will also be new beginnings, and I'm choosing to focus on those.

Thank you all for following this journey with us. We appreciate every bit of encouragement, and we can't wait to share fresh eggs, pasture-raised chickens, dairy goats, and so much more with this amazing community.

Onward and upward! 🐔🥚🌿❤️

🐔 Exciting News from Boone Trace Creamery! 🌿

This week we'll be welcoming our first batch of meat chickens to the farm!

A couple of weeks following their arrival, they'll be pasture-raised, enjoying fresh grass, sunshine, bugs, and room to move while being cared for every day right here at Boone Trace. We'll post plenty of pics! Once they arrive.

We're also committed to feeding a Non-GMO diet, because we believe the quality of what our animals eat matters.

Our goal has always been simple:
❤️ Raise healthy animals with respect.
🌱 Practice responsible stewardship of our land.
🍽️ Provide our community with delicious, locally raised food you can feel good about serving your family.

Processing is expected later this season, and we'll begin taking reservations once we have a better idea of final numbers.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us as Boone Trace continues to grow. We can't wait to share this journey with you!

I've been thinking a lot lately about how blessed and fortunate I truly am. Life hasn't always been easy, but I've been given so much to be thankful for—family, friends, this little farm, and a community that has supported Boone Trace from the very beginning.

Because of those blessings, I want Boone Trace to be about more than just raising great food. I want it to be a way to give back to our community.

As we begin raising our pasture-raised, non-GMO meat chickens and continue growing our farm, I'd like to regularly donate food to families who could use a helping hand. Whether it's a whole chicken, fresh eggs, or other farm products as we're able, I want to share the blessings we've received.

If you know of local organizations, churches, schools, food pantries, or outreach programs that work directly with families in need here in our area, I'd love your recommendations. Please comment below or send me a private message.

Thank you all for supporting Boone Trace. Your encouragement has made this dream possible, and I hope together we can make a difference—one family at a time. ❤️🐓🥚🌱

Mother Nature decided Boone Trace needed a pond after all the rain we've had! 🌧️ Even if only temporary.

That meant Güenther ("Goofy") got to experience the biggest body of water he's ever seen. He was pretty skeptical at first, carefully testing the water one hoof at a time... but before long, he was splashing around and didn't want to leave.

Watching these little moments of curiosity and confidence is one of the best parts of farm life. 😊💙🐐

I'm learning that farming has a way of teaching resilience. It asks you to celebrate the victories, grieve the disappointments, learn from both, and get up the next morning ready to care for the animals that are counting on you.

I'm grateful for everyone who followed Pip Squeak's journey and offered encouragement along the way. Thank you for celebrating the highs and walking through the hard moments with us.

The story of Boone Trace was never going to be written without challenges. This is simply one page in a much bigger story.

Here's to new beginnings, stronger plans, and perseverance for future experiences. ❤️🐔

I'm sad and have shed tears!

After watching Pip Squeak work it's way into this world, it passed. I'm new at this farming stuff but can already tell how hard the hard times will be!

**Good morning, and happy Friday, everyone!** ☀️🐣

How about an update on **"Pip Squeak?"**

Our little fighter made it through the night! ❤️ I know I probably shouldn't sound so surprised, but considering we started with **four Olive Egger hatching eggs** and are now down to just one, I'm both grateful and amazed that this little one has made it this far.

Progress is definitely being made on the shell, and it's so exciting to watch. We can't wait to see what Pip Squeak looks like once the hatch is complete!

And don't worry—we're not about to let this little one grow up alone. 🥰 We'll be picking up a few baby chicks this weekend so Pip Squeak has some friends to grow up with.

Stay tuned for more updates—we're all cheering this little one on! 💚🐥
