Tomorrow night, 7 beers meet 7 courses for a one-night-only Beer Pairing Dinner at Brazen.

From Mesopotamian Ale paired with blackberry + thyme goat cheese dip, all the way through to a Berry Coconut Sour with stracciatella and summer berry compote—every course was built to bring something different to the table.

We brewed it with the ingredients a Sumerian brewer would’ve had on hand — wheat, barley, dates, and honey — long before hops entered the picture. It’s our best guess at what people were drinking before “beer” even had rules.
