To all my animal-loving friends, I’m searching for a new, loving home for one of our donkeys. He must go to a place where there is at least one other donkey—no Jacks unless separated—and to a family committed for the long term. He is not meant to be a short-lived Christmas gift.
Eli has always been a pet, never a guard donkey or an animal to simply turn out with cattle and forget about. He’s incredibly sweet, loves people, and is wonderful for the farrier. I’ve had him since he was a baby. He’s a gelding and will be 14 years old in April.
Eli has lived his entire life with his half brother, Levi—they’re only a week apart in age. Sadly, Levi has a knee injury that cannot be repaired with time or surgery. We will be putting him down soon, and I am heartbroken for both of them—losing one to injury and anticipating the heartbreak Eli will feel from losing his brother.

This coming Saturday is our annual Christmas at the Farm event from 1:00-4:00. Kids can pet the miniature horses, brush the goats, watch the fluffy chickens and turkeys hunting for bugs to eat and meet baby Hazel, our 9 week old mini donkey. Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming too! We have about 24 vendors coming to share all homemade goods just in time for last minute shopping. Get a free cup of hot chocolate from the coco bar while supplies last! Admission is $8. Kids 2yrs old or under are free. Some vendors include Good Thyme Farm, Forever Rose, South Co. Sourdough, Sunflower Skeins, Linked by Lillies, Alpaca Products, Made-to-Order, Alyssa’s Leaves, Ivy Acre LLC and more!!!
