👉Farming 101✅
For 35 years, a "Product of USA" label on beef didn't mean the cow was born here. It just meant the meat was processed at a U.S. plant — even if the animal grew up on the other side of the world.

That changed January 1, 2026. Now the label actually has to mean what you always assumed it meant.

Here's the thing: our beef never needed that rule to catch up. Every steak from Charles Family Farm has been born, raised, and processed right here in Lancaster County — always has been.

Know your farmer. Know your beef.

🎃 Alright, alright, we see y'all lurking.

Yes, our pumpkins are starting to blush orange out there in the field. Yes, that means fall is coming. NO, they are not ready yet, and NO, we are not doing this "pumpkin spice everything before Labor Day" nonsense on this farm.

These pumpkins are still out there working on their tans. Give them a minute. They've got a whole summer produce season to finish co-existing with before they get to be the main character.

So here's your official notice: fall is coming, pumpkins are turning, we are STOKED... but we're not going full PSL on you before Halloween is even a thing people are thinking about. Patience, friends. Good things come to those who let a pumpkin finish ripening.

🍅 In the meantime, produce season is still in full swing — so let's not skip straight to autumn and forget we've still got summer's best stuff coming out of the ground right now.

Just because Labor Day is coming and school has started doesn't mean summer produce is done. 🍅🌽

Here in Lancaster County, our fields don't know how to read a calendar. Tomatoes, sweet corn, cantaloupes, watermelon, onions — still coming in strong. And right alongside it, the cold crops are showing up: cauliflower, broccoli, kale, Swiss chard, cabbage.

September and October are some of the best produce months we get all year — not because summer stops, but because it collides with fall. Come see (and taste) it for yourself.

Listen…

There's a lot of news right now about the beef market — shifting import policies, changing prices at the grocery store, headlines that can leave folks unsure what's actually in their fridge. We're not here to tell you where to shop. Grocery stores serve an important role, and we respect that. We always will.

Its moments like this are exactly why more families are choosing to know exactly where their beef comes from — not just what country, but what farm, what family, and what pasture.

When you buy direct from Charles Family Farm, you're not guessing. You know the cattle. You know the ground they grazed. You know the hands that raised them — the same hands that have worked this land since 1906. No supply chain to trace, no mystery between farm and fork. Just beef you can point to on a map.

In a market that feels like it's changing by the week, that kind of certainty means something.

Know your food. Know your farmer. Food is medicine. 🐄
