Dear Friends and Neighbors in our Lancaster Community,

We are saddened to announce that our Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church will not be able to have the Annual Greek Food Bazaar this year due to delays in our kitchen renovation project. For 65 consecutive years, the Greek Bazaar has brought our community together to celebrate Greek food, fellowship, faith, and culture on the first weekend of November. Once the renovation is completed, it is our aim to be back next Fall and to have an expanded Gyrofest on the weekend of May 17, 2025.

As you may know, a portion of our Bazaar’s proceeds (approximately $60,000) is given to charities each year, including the following:
The Annunciation Church Bi-weekly Food Box Distribution
The Lancaster County Food Hub
The Water Street Rescue Mission
Off the Streets
Lancaster Mental Health Association
Orphanages in Mexico, Kenya, and Uganda
Other scholarships, missions, and outreach projects

If you wish to support these charities and the outreach ministries of our church in the absence of this year’s canceled Bazaar, you may send a tax-deductible donation to “Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church” with “Bazaar 2025 Charities” on the memo line or make an online donation at https://www.annunciationorthodox.org/online-giving/donations under “General Donation” and write “Bazaar 2025 Charities” in the adjacent blank space.

Thank you for your continued support of our church and philanthropic efforts in our community and beyond. We look forward to celebrating together again soon.

Sincerely,

The Annunciation Church Parish Council
