Thank you for your support of Wanderlust Coffees these past few years. You have helped us accomplish our mission of “providing quality coffee that helps to support growers and producers in other countries, as well as provide a continuous funding stream for non-profit organizations, while nurturing awareness of world cultures and promoting beneficial conversations and friendships.”
After three years in the coffee business, we are delighted to announce that The Lancaster Stroopie Co. has purchased Wanderlust Coffees, effective today. With their efficient production center and experience, extensive distribution networks, and employment of resettled refugees, they will be able to grow the business and accomplish our mission beyond what we can do. Stroopies and coffee are a perfect match!
About The Lancaster Stroopie Company
The Lancaster Stroopie Company, based in Lancaster, Pa., since 2008, provides meaningful employment in support of refugees as they work to overcome language and cultural barriers. Currently, their team makes an average of 10,000 stroopwafels and many gallons of ice cream each week. The addition of coffee will help them reach their goal to scale up for greater impact and more job creation in service to the refugee community.
Jennie and Jonathan Groff, co-owners of The Lancaster Stroopie Company, describe what this new opportunity means to them and their team, “We feel so honored to pick up with the work that Timm and Kristina started. Here at the Stroopie Company, our mission is to provide meaningful employment and language/cultural training for our new neighbors from around the world. Our team is so diverse, coming from several different countries. And yet there is a very common thread of hospitality and warmth as we all share our stories of humanity together.
