Just gonna leave this here💁🏼♀️
I know this isn't my usual kooky, witty, sarcastic, delicious content but I feel it's important nonetheless.
As someone who has been in some frightening situations that did go in a dark direction, I need y'all to understand that victim blaming is absolutely never okay. Ever. Regardless of the circumstances.
Should we all make good, safe, and well-thought-out decisions? Of course. But should women be shamed and blamed because they decided to have some drinks that ended up being 1 too many? No! Should women be blamed because they were dressed in a manner that accentuated their curves and desirables? F**k no! We should be able to go out drinking without fear that r**e, SA, or worse may be in the cards for us because of it.
Y'all, men r**e corpses, animals, and children so no, it's never:
🍷the alcohol
👗the clothes
🫦the conversation/flirting
And here's a thought, maybe instead of telling women to:
🌶️carry pepper spray
🚨carry a safety alarm
🔑walk with their keys between their fingers
🏃🏼♀️don't run in the dark hours
🚶🏼♀️don't walk home alone
🥤put a sleeve over your drinks
💉carry emergency narcan
👯♀️always travel in pairs
🙂smile so you don't come off as rude and provoke them to be angry/violent
🧬make sure to claw them so you have DNA under your nails
💡park under the street lights
🎧never wear headphones
📱stay off your phone and be alert
🔒lock the doors to your car after you get in
Maybe we should instead tell men to:
❌control yourself and your urges
🚔police the "men" that can't act right
Men get pi**ed off and like to say "not all men" but if I were to hand you a box of whoppers and told you that one out of every 10 of them was just a small ball of human s**t rolled up and dipped in chocolate you would absolutely be wary of the whole box would you not? Not all bees sting you, but do you still want a hive hanging right over your front door? Didn't think so.
I have been doing a little research into this whole Cornell situation and I do think that it's important that everyone go back and read the victims testimony that she had given back in 2024 before completely making a blind judgment on everything. That doesn't excuse any of the actions that have been taken whatsoever because they should definitely still be held accountable, but this goes to show that there's more to a situation than we see at times. My ultimate point because I know this is a hot topic right now is that we need to raise our boys to be actual men and to teach them that there are situations that they're going to be told no and that's a complete sentence. There are too many situations where women's protests are not heard that moments like this and this Cornell mess only harm victims that actually want and need justice.
That's all. Stay safe out there loves🫶🏻
