Another snow day for all of us at The Lancaster Central Market!!

Hope everyone has enjoyed the snow and is staying safe. See you on Friday!

The Central Market will be CLOSED tomorrow on Tuesday, January 27th.
 
At the time of this announcement there is still an active snow emergency in the city of Lancaster, and much of the area around Lancaster is still treacherous for our vendor’s large trucks and other traffic. Our standholders rely on the day before Market to bake, cook, prep, and transport cartloads of goods, and many of our businesses were simply unable to safely do so today. With all of this in mind, we have decided to close Market tomorrow. We have not closed Market in a long time, but feel it is in the interest of safety for our guests and vendors.
 
We’d like to thank the City for their prompt removal of the snow around Market, which is no easy task with our narrow alleyways.
 
Please be safe out there, and we will see you all at Market again on Friday, 1/30.

The sky might be gray, the sidewalks a little damp, and the morning a bit slower than usual, but inside Groovy Greens at The Lancaster Central Market, the lights are on, the colors are bright, and we’re here ready to serve you.

Days like this make comfort feel essential, and sometimes that comfort is as simple as a fresh, delicious bowl that reminds you that good things still grow even in cold weather.

And today, that comfort stretches beyond our storefront.
We’re honored to take part in Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County's Nourish the Neighborhood Week, joining local restaurants in supporting the fight against food insecurity right here at home. From now to December 7, $1 from every salad at Groovy Greens will go directly toward helping our neighbors in need. It’s a small action that becomes something bigger when we do it together.

So if the weather has you feeling sluggish or you’re looking for a reason to step out into the world today, come by. Grab something fresh. Warm up for a moment. Know that your meal is feeding more than your appetite.

Rainy days can feel heavy, but community makes them lighter.
And Lancaster has always been good at that.

Lancaster officially flipped the switch on the holiday season, and we were grateful to experience that moment with all of you.

Penn Square was glowing long before the mayor lit the tree. The city felt alive in that way it only does during the holidays. The kind of simple, shared joy that reminds you why traditions matter.

For us at Groovy Greens , being open during an event like this is being part of a community moment. It’s seeing familiar customers stop by with their loved ones. It’s warming cold hands with something sweet. It’s offering a small pause of comfort in the middle of the energy and excitement.

We watched the crowd gather. We heard the countdown. And when the lights finally burst to life, the whole square shifted. People clapped. Kids shouted. Cameras went up. The night glowed a little warmer.

The holidays in Lancaster always feel a little magical, but sharing that magic with the community we love, that’s what fills us up.

Tonight feels like the real start of the holiday season in Lancaster, and we’re excited to be part of it.

The Mayor’s Tree Lighting brings people from every corner of the city into one shared moment under the lights at Penn Square. Families gather. Friends meet up. Market Square fills with that mix of cold air and warm energy that only downtown Lancaster can create.

And while the tree glows outside, we’ll be inside Central Market with something sweet, cozy, and made for nights like this.

Our Hot Chocolate Yogurt Parfait is back tonight.

Holding that certificate was a reminder of the hundreds of small moments that brought us here. The morning rushes. The familiar smiles. The conversations across the counter. The people who grab a bowl on their lunch break because they trust what we make. The neighbors who stop by just to say hello.

Every bit of our growth has been rooted in you.
