Mainly Meadows Raising teddy and swiss cavies to the ARBA Standard of Perfection. Please reach out with any questions! I hope you enjoy my page and maybe even give it a like!

I began raising teddies in 2013 as Terrific Teddies and recently began raising them again in 2023. My main goal is to breed creams, chocolates, and chocolate based solids. I also breed brokens and will try to focus on golden agouti/white, as well as golden agouti/red/white and lemon agouti/cream/white. I focus on quality, not quantity as this is a hobby of mine and all of my guinea pigs are also pets.

I am LOVING these three sows. There’s a 4th who is looking really nice, too. All 3 are out of Baja Blast, who has won multiple BIS and RIS. They all also stem from my very first Teddy getting back into it, RFOM Graham Cracker, who had 15+ GC Legs and has been so important to my program. Looking forward to see how his descendants keep developing!

If anyone is wanting a nice trio, the broken boar and two sows would be PERFECT for someone looking to get into brokens. The boar has 3 BOB wins and maybe a BOSB. The sows are not showable (borderline enough of each color) but have great coats. The red sow and the black roan boar should be pets.

It has been a long time since I’ve had so many promising babies. The past year has been tough in the caviary, but it is so nice to see all of these young teddies looking so good! Most of them will be staying, a few may be 👀 later on.

And I still haven’t gotten a new brush after losing mine, so appreciate these ungroomed pigs as best as you can!

Litter Announcement!!

Gallivant’s Negroni bred to Mainly Meadows Bumblebee had three adorable babies on Tuesday. This litter is especially exciting to me, because it brings back some of the original lines and pigs that got me to where my brokens are now!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of judging cavies at the Kimberton fair! There were some beautiful animals and some very knowledgeable youth! My best in show was a senior cream American boar and my reserve in show was a senior white crested sow!
