This time of year is SO BUSY!
Garden is in full production mode. Need to process tomato juice, clear garden of pumpkins.
I had to transfer locations on my full-time job to get my full scheduled hours. Unfortunately that equaled waiting 3 weeks for paycheck. (They could've paid me for 1 week and then go to every other week......but they'd rather torture me.) I won't go into the other difficulties I've encountered with the transfer because people just cannot do their jobs. So Frustrated! There's a reason I have no sympathy for large companies and their hiring difficulties.
Started processing turkey culls-forgot to weight them. I think we are in 15-20 # range.
Weather is in full swing of 2nd summer complete with drought conditions. Not a drop of rain. Highs are in 90s, with real feel around 100F.
Hopefully will have some new pics later tonight.

What to do with several dozen old infertile turkey eggs? Garden is always a good place. This time I scrambled and placed in fridge for feeding back to turkeys tomorrow. It's a good form of protein so hopefully they'll enjoy them!
*This year we've been getting eggs still, 43 eggs this August from 7 hens. I suspect it's mostly the 4 Painted hens.

If it didn't want pets it shouldn't have jumped out of the brooder!

My camera always wants to focus on the Pencilled Turkeys lol. Was trying to grab a shot of the 2 Chocolates. Looking like at least 1 Chocolate jake. Have you ever heard the Spanish speaking pronunciation of Chocolate? Google it, it's my favorite word lol. One of the families whom bought Turkeys last year taught me (I did a bit of Spanish in high-school so I knew, but hearing it by a fluent speaker is better).

The outside new kids on the block. They are enjoying the space and dirt baths. (This is a cull pen, so you'll notice crooked toes, etc)
