Some helpful tips! Have a 10/10 tarp in your pack or vehicle incase you need to debone or quarter your animal. Hair although difficult can be cleaned off but dirt is going to cause the most meat loss and has to be trimmed off. If you plan on skinning in the field you need quality game bags! Plan for hot weather and have ice in a cooler ready or frozen jugs of water to put in the rib cage if you are going to be far from town. If not get it to a cool place ASAP! Be prepared...... (Sharp knife), gun sighted in, lots of practice with bow, range finders, shooting sticks. Animals will spoil very fast in hot weather so get them opened up as much as possible. Use a stick to prop open the rib cage and remove wind pipe to help cool the neck. It is definitely not cold enough to lave a hide on animal in the back of a truck overnight and the bottom side will most likely spoil if not done properly!
