The journey of The Ginger Drink Co. began with a simple kitchen experiment and a passion for authentic, natural flavors. In 2021, co-founder Tirell A. M. Clifton, I, while living in Hyattsville, Maryland, embarked on a quest to create homemade lemonade from scratch. His innovative process involved boiling whole lemons to extract the rich flavonoids from the rind, using this infused water as the base. This resulted in a lemonade with an unmistakably vibrant and genuine lemon taste, far superior to store-bought alternatives and sparking an appreciation for the power of whole ingredients.

This initial success planted the seed for further beverage exploration. In 2023, Tirell envisioned a unique ginger-based drink. After initial research and brainstorming, a pivotal conversation with co-founder Erica P. Clifton led to a moment of clarity. While Tirell had considered elaborate names, Erica suggested a straightforward approach: "Why not just call it the Ginger Drink? It's simple and to the point." This simple yet profound insight resonated deeply and became the cornerstone of the company's philosophy.

Thus, The Ginger Drink Co. was born, founded on the principles of honesty, transparency, and directness. We believe customers deserve to know exactly what they're consuming.
