In 1983, that legacy took a remarkable leap forward with the acquisition of an exceptional mare from the Dominican Republic—La Marquesa de Besilu. She quickly proved herself to be truly extraordinary, earning the title of highest-pointed horse in the country in both Bella Forma and Classic Fino.
Her success culminated in being crowned Grand National Champion, solidifying her place in history and setting the standard for the Besilu name.
La Marquesa de Besilu was more than a champion—she became a symbol of both beauty, and gait which became the vision behind The Besilu Collection.
